ITS-1010 - Computing and Information Technology* (3) Prerequisite: RDG 0800 or FYS 1010T
Students gain an appreciation and understanding of the societal and global impact of computing technologies. Students learn the fundamentals of computing, focusing on the impact of technology through interdisciplinary computer projects. Activities rely on creativity, problem-solving, data and informational analysis, program design, writing computer code, cyber security and networking, and global impact. Students are actively engaged in projects that develop skills in computational thinking, logic, and scientific reasoning. For students who plan to use personal computers, this course may have specific computing requirements.
