Graduates of this program will be prepared to enter the emerging field of web site development. Through course work in HTML/CSS and JavaScript, Web Design and Visual Communications, Web Applications and Web Programming, students will have the knowledge and skills necessary to assist with the construction and maintenance of Internet and intranet web sites. Students choosing to continue their studies for the associate in applied science degree may utilize all of the credits in this certificate toward the Information Services Technology AAS degree. This program may be completed online.

The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 15.

Transfer Options:

This program of study is part of an articulated partnership with University of Maryland University College (UMUC). Students successfully meeting the requirements of this associate’s program can transfer the necessary credits to UMUC and complete their Bachelor of Science in Computer Studies through courses offered in Southern Maryland and online.
