Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Areas of Study in Alphabetical Order

No. of Credits Required: 10
Contact: W. Montgomery, Chair, Biological and Physical Sciences Division; T. Russ, Program Coordinator

Environmental management has emerged in recent years as a set of practices employed in both public and private sectors with the objectives to minimize environmental impacts and to support the mission of the individual organization. While the specific solutions and strategies may vary widely, there is a well-defined set of underlying principles and methods of analysis that support development. The letter of recognition in Environmental Management will be awarded to students completing a three-course sequence providing a background in environmental issues, environmental law, and a working knowledge of the state of the practice of environmental management as well as familiarity with emerging trends and concepts.  This program is fully available online.

The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 7.
