BIO-2030 - Marine Biology* (S) (3) Prerequisite: Reading Placement; or RDG-0800; or take one of the following: IRW-0900A ; IRW-0900B ; or IRW-0900C Students explore the general features of form and function that adapt organisms to life in the sea. Major marine ecosystems are discussed and compared. The interaction of humans with marine life and ecosystems is discussed. This course is offered in the travel study format, featuring field studies in a tropical marine location such as Belize, Florida, or Jamaica. Travel study courses have additional costs associated with travel and require permission of the instructor. This course satisfies the General Education Biological Science requirement.
