EDU-1051 - Child Health, Safety, and Nutrition (3)

Prerequisite: Take Reading Placement or RDG-0800 or take one of the following: IRW-0900A, IRW-0900B, or IRW-0900C - Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course.
Co-requisite: Take Reading Placement or RDG-0800 or take one of the following: IRW-0900A, IRW-0900B, or IRW-0900C - Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course.

Students enrolled in this course learn about the general and specific health, safety, and nutritional needs of the infant through eight-year-old child. Curricular activities designed to meet these specific needs are included in this course. National, NAEYC, and MSDE nutritional guidelines are emphasized. Students enrolled in this course will be assessed based on their use of college-level reading, writing, and communication skills.
