SOC-2110 - Sociology of Families (3) Prerequisite: SOC 1010 or SOC 1040 The scientific method is used to study the theories and functions of marriage and the family in modern society. Topics include sex roles, selecting a mate, sexual mores, the marriage contract, family life styles, communication and conflict, parents and children, membership in the community, and divorce.
