ACC-2015 - Automated Account Systems* (3) Prerequisite: ACC-2010 Students apply accounting concepts in a software environment in which manual accounting procedures will become automated. Utilizing an automated accounting software, students journalize common business transactions, create adjusting entries, and perform closing procedures to complete an accounting cycle for both a service-oriented business as well as a merchandising business. Students set up and maintain various accounting systems, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Apply principles of accounting concepts to an automated accounting system.
CO2 - Create a new company’s accounting records using an automated accounting system.
CO3 - Demonstrate the use of an automated accounting system for a service-based and merchandising company.
CO4 - Use an automated accounting system to complete an accounting cycle for a company.
CO5 - Construct payroll, accounts receivable, inventory, and accounts payable systems for a company using an automated accounting system.
