CHE-1210 - General Chemistry II* (S) (3)

Prerequisite: CHE-1200 ; CHE-1200L
The continuation of CHE-1200  includes chemical equilibrium chemical kinetics, ionic equilibrium, solubility product, hydrolysis, electrochemistry, liquid and solid states, acids, bases and salts. Credit for this course may be earned through Advanced Placement Examination.  This course satisfies the General Education Physical Science requirement.

List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections)
CO1 - Demonstrate a basic understanding of the fundamental concepts of matter and energy including thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, electrochemistry, quantum mechanics, chemical equilibrium, acids and bases, and salts.

CO2 - Recall the definitions of terms related to the fundamental concepts of matter and energy.

CO3 - Apply the concepts of matter and energy to the study of changes in matter, including chemical reactions, the distribution of electrons in atoms and molecules, and the condensed states of matter.

CO4 - Set up and solve quantitative problems using dimensional analysis and significant figures as appropriate.

CO5 - Make connections between abstract concepts and the relevant experiments from the laboratory course.
