Medication administration, basic intravenous techniques, dosage calculations, and documentation are covered for clients across the lifespan. Content on assessment of medication orders/prescriptions, patient safety, and medication distribution is included in this course.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Demonstrate the correct application of the “Seven Rights of Administration”.
CO2 - Prepare and administer oral and parenteral medications to include calculation of dosage, routes of administration, types of injections and injection sites.
CO3 - Manage of prescriptions to include safekeeping, medication record keeping and controlled substance guidelines.
CO4 - Management of immunization to include adult and childhood vaccines and vaccinations, storage and recordkeeping.
