MUS-1113 - Barbershop Harmony Chorus IV* (1) Prerequisite: MUS-1112 Students will perform in an a cappella choral group using the unique style of barbershop harmony as the foundation of all vocal arrangements. This group is a chapter of the international organization known as the Barbershop Harmony Society. Enrollment is open to all voice types.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Perform capstone events (concerts) as part of a barbershop vocal ensemble.
CO2 - Apply knowledge of a variety of barbershop ensemble and quartet styles and genres.
CO3 - Utilize techniques to perform as a collaborative team member in a music ensemble.
CO4 - Apply techniques specific to their vocal type and group role to continue improvement of performance practices in an ensemble setting.
