ITS-2516 - Networking II* (3)

Prerequisite: ITS-2511  
Students learn router and routing basics in this second of a three-course series. This course provides students with an understanding of wireless, security, TCP/IP, basic router configuration, installation of routing protocols, network troubleshooting skills, and configuration of networking software and tools that are required to troubleshoot networking problems.

List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections)
CO1 - Determine how a router will forward traffic based on the contents of a routing table.

CO2 - Explain how switching operates in a small to medium-sized business network.

CO3 - Use monitoring tools and network management protocols to troubleshoot data networks.

CO4 - Implement access control lists (ACLs) to filter traffic.

CO5 - Configure and troubleshoot VLANs and routing with static route and RIPv2.

CO6 - Describe the operations of Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol for IPv4 and IPv6.
