MUS-1077 - Concert Orchestra III* (1)

Prerequisite: Prior orchestra or string ensemble performance experience.
Concert Orchestra offers students and community members an opportunity to play traditional and contemporary orchestra literature. It is open to orchestral string players with previous orchestra or string ensemble experience. It is open to brass, woodwind, and percussion players when spots are available. The Concert Orchestra performs a formal concert on campus each semester as well as occasional performances in the community.  Members will be expected to provide their own instruments. Off campus rehearsal location.  Permission of the Arts and Humanoities Chair is required.

List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections)
CO1 - Perform capstone events (concerts) as part of a community orchestra.

CO2 - Apply knowledge of a variety of styles and genres for an orchestra.

CO3 - Utilize techniques to perform as a collaborative team member in a music ensemble. 

CO4 - Apply techniques unique to their instrument to continue improvement of performance practices in an ensemble.
