HIM-2350 - Health Information Management Professional Practice Experience III (2)

Prerequisite: HIM 2110 HIM 2210 HIM 2250

Co-requisite: HIM 2310

Working in a simulated virtual lab and/or under the supervision of health information management staff in a local health care facility, students continue to gain experience applying knowledge and skills in health information management. Emphasis is placed on leadership and management roles, legal and ethical aspects of data management, and quality improvement.

This practicum course consists of 90 hours of activities which take place almost exclusively during business hours Monday through Friday.
