Electronics Technology Certificate

Graduates of the basic certificate program work as entry-level technicians under the direct supervision of experienced electronics technicians, scientists, and engineers. Graduates will understand the fundamentals of AC and DC circuit theory and will be familiar with a variety of common semiconductor devices and fundamental electronic circuits. Students will be able to operate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, generators, and both analog and digital multimeters. Students will be able to construct and analyze many important circuits using breadboarding techniques.

This program is open to students with no previous experience in electronics. Students are encouraged to take the mathematics placement test prior to enrolling in the program.  The credits in this program count towards completion of the Engineering Technology, AAS degree in the Electronics area of concentration.

The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 10.
