The Environmental Studies program will prepare students for further studies in a broad range of disciplines ranging from natural sciences and environmental design, to environmental policy and pre-law. The Environmental Studies program is designed to allow students to fulfill the first two years of study necessary to transfer to one of several four year institutions.

 The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 45.

Environmental engineer, environmental scientist, conservation manager/scientist, environmental manager, environmental lawyer, environmental planner/designer, science/environmental journalism, nature resource manager, environmental educator, energy manager, environmental administrator.

Students will...

  1. Explain the key scientific concepts which relate to major environmental issues
  2. Interpret major legal and economic concepts as they relate to environmental issues
  3. Differentiate between the economic and environmental impacts of a given environmental issue
  4. Prioritize between root problems and the evident environmental problems
  5. Compose a working career plan
