Business Administration, AS with Concentrations

This curriculum prepares students for transfer into a business administration baccalaureate program to a four-year college or university. It is a broad-based program including a solid foundation in general education, which prepares the student for specialization in business areas in the junior and senior years.

Students complete Introductory level business courses and self-select electives in such areas as ethics, business law, social entrepreneurship, and/or business strategy.

Students who wish to earn a bachelor’s degree majoring in accounting should also enroll in this program.

To assure maximum transferability of credits, students are urged to consult with an academic advisor early in this program of study.

The Business Administration Associate of Science program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs. The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 45.

Career Opportunities:

A business administration degree from CSM opens the door to a 4-year baccalaureate degree and then to variety of career opportunities including accountants, commercial loan officer, city manager, sales manager, human resources manager, public relations specialist, and advertising executive.

Business Administration


First Semester


Mathematics (3 credits)

Students must complete one of the following combinations to satisfy the Mathematics requirement for the degree:
MTH-1560 and MTH-1015 or
MTH-1200 and MTH-1015

Students may select either Calculus or Statistics course to take in the First Semester.

Second Semester


Mathematics (3 credits)

Students must complete one of the following combinations to satisfy the Mathematics requirement for the degree:
MTH-1560 and MTH-1015 or
MTH-1200 and MTH-1015

Students should select the remaining Calculus or Statistics course to take in the Second Semester.

Humanities (3 credits)

Business Administration: Business Analysis Concentration


In addition to the core skills provided in the overarching Business Administration AS curriculum, the Business Analysis Concentration prepares students to assemble, document, and analyze business processes to identify challenges and opportunities. Students choosing a field in Business Analysis learn to extract insights to make data-driven decisions for organizational improvement.

This program may be completed online.
