Having business expertise alongside information technology qualifications is a rare combination.  In today’s business world, that is exactly what employers are looking for intheir employess.  A degree in Computer Information Systems is designed to provide students the skills they need to advance in this field.  By bridging the gap between the computer world and the business world, students will bring a unique blend of experience to any business organization.  This degree prepares students in the areas of information systems, systems analysis and design, databases, accounting, statistics, business law, economics, project management and computer

Transfer Options:

This program is part of an articulated partnership with University of Maryland University College. Students successfully meeting the requirements of this associate’s program can transfer the necessary credits to UMUC and complete their Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management.

Students desiring transfer to other four-year colleges should consider the Applied Science and Technology or Computer Sciences transfer degrees.

  4. Work as part of a team to analyze, design, and develop computer information systems in real-world scenarios
  5. Compute, analyze, and interpret financial, statistical, and economic data and information
  6. Create and edit communications using word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
