This coursework prepares students for employment as entry-level computer support specialists. Students develop skills in information technology including an understanding of the principles of operating systems and the ability to service and support personal computers.
The coursework covers the material necessary to prepare for CompTIA’s A+ certification exams. Upon successful completion of the national exams, students will become A+ Certified Technicians. The A+ certification is an industry-wide, nationally recognized standard of basic competency levels in the field of computer service.
The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 6.
