This certificate prepares students for entry-level positions in the information technology field such as customer service representative, technical support representative, help desk technician, and PC support specialist. Graduates will be able to: analyze end user computing problems and determine appropriate action; communicate effectively with end users; provide support to end users of standard and customized application software; record and report information significant to the job and end user problem resolution; and identify required resources to maintain and advance technical skills as information technology changes. The courses in this certificate are applicable to the Information Services Technology Certificate and AAS degree.
The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 14.
