Having business expertise alongside information technology qualifications is a rare combination.  In today’s business world, that is exactly what employers are looking for intheir employess.  A degree in Computer Information Systems is designed to provide students the skills they need to advance in this field.  By bridging the gap between the computer world and the business world, students will bring a unique blend of experience to any business organization.  This degree prepares students in the areas of information systems, systems analysis and design, databases, accounting, statistics, business law, economics, project management and computer.  This program is fully available online.

Computer Information Systems students are not required to complete BAD-1335 nor ECN-1015 prior to takink ECN-2020

The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 47.

Transfer Options:

This program is part of an articulated partnership with University of Maryland University College. Students successfully meeting the requirements of this associate’s program can transfer the necessary credits to UMUC and complete their Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management.

Students desiring transfer to other four-year colleges should consider the Applied Science and Technology or Computer Sciences transfer degrees.

  5. Compute, analyze, and interpret financial, statistical, and economic data and information
  6. Create and edit communications using word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
