This 600-clock hour Massage Therapy Certificate program prepares students to work as a licensed Massage Therapist or a Registered Massage Practitioner. The program consists of lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction and practice. This program of study should qualify the student to sit for the MBLEx exams and be eligible for registration as a Massage Practitioner in Maryland. This may be a selective admissions program.  Prior to addmision students are required to provide proof of immunization status, a completed health form, proof of current CPR certification for healthcare providers, and a criminal background check at the students’ expense. In addition, students may be required to provide proof of current health insurance, and a negative drug screen at the students’ own expense. This program may appeal to individuals who want to work as Registered Massage Practitioners or to those students who currently have 30 or more credit hours and wish to apply for licensure as a Massage Therapist in the state of Maryland. All BIO, HTH, and MAS courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.
