HLS-1015 - Introduction to Homeland Security (3) Students will be introduced to homeland security, its function, organization, and responsibilities. Students will look into the evaluation of homeland security throughout the United States. An examination of the roles undertaken and methods used by governmental agencies, the private sector, and individuals who respond to these issues will also be covered. The National Incident Management System (NIMS) which was instituted after the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and other post 911 changes will be covered.
