ART-2020 - Integration of the Arts (3) This course introduces students to the content, functions, and achievements of dance, music, theater, and the visual arts as primary media for communication, inquiry and insight among teacher candidates. Students will acquire basic knowledge of the content and the ability to integrate the four arts. This course meets Maryland State Department of Education requirements for Integrated Arts.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Describe the basic types, elements, and skills of the four arts using an appropriate arts vocabulary.
CO2 - Interpret and evaluate the visual and performing arts both orally and in writing using an appropriate arts vocabulary.
CO3 - Explain the impact of technology, stylistic trends, culture, time period, and place on art.
CO4 - Compare how ideas, emotions, and experiences are expressed in the visual and performing arts.
CO5 - Articulate personal reactions to works of art and identify the artistic element(s) that elicit those reactions.
