MLT-1022 - Urinalysis and Body Fluids* (2)

Prerequisite: MLT-1012 ; MLT-1012L BIO-1060 BIO-1060L  
Students learn the basic anatomy and physiology of the renal system along with the significance of urinalysis and body fluid examination.  Also discussed are the pre-analytical factors that may affect test results.  A passing grade of “C” is required in this course. Students must earn a minimum grade of C for all prerequisite(s)/co-requisite(s) to meet registration requirements.

CO1 - Describe the basic anatomy and physiology of the renal system.

CO2 - Describe the significance of urinalysis and body fluid examination.

CO3 - Evaluate common disease processes which affect urinalysis and body fluid laboratory findings.
