EMS-2561 - EMS Training and Education* (3)


Co-requisite: EMS-2554 ; EMS-2554L ; EMS-2556  

Students in this course focus on current trends and future directions for the EMS field through analysis and discussion of relevant literature and case studies. Students must earn a minimum grade of C for all prerequisite(s)/co-requisite(s) to meet registration requirements.

CO1 - Analyze the role of continuing education in EMS provider re certification.

CO2 - Analyze the role of technology in the delivery of asynchronous learning.

CO3 - Apply standard procedures to evaluate training in accordance with accreditation standards.

CO4 -   Identify the components of EMS education.

CO5 -   Identify the major components of the EMS Education Agenda for the Future and the purpose of each.

CO6 -   Identify the purpose of each component of the Education Agenda for the Future.

CO7 -   Identify the structure and parts of the National EMS Education Standards.

CO8 -   Understand the function of the National Registry of EMTs.

CO9 -   Understand the role of accreditation in EMS education and training.
