TED-1050 - Child and Adolescent Development (3)

This course prepares students to describe and evaluate the cognitive, linguistic, physical, social, and emotional development of school-age students (birth through adolescence) through a focus on enduring themes in the field. Instruction includes theories of development, research methods, and developmentally appropriate practice. This course meets the Maryland State Department of Education requirement for Child or Adolescent Development.

CO1 - Describe physical, motor, and brain development from infancy through adolescence.

CO2 - Explain the development of cognitive abilities, including language, from infancy through adolescence.
