No. of Credits: 60-62
Contact: Bernice Brezina, Chair, Business, Technology, and Public Service Division;

This program provides a solid theoretical and mathematical foundation for those students planning to transfer to four-year institutions to earn bachelor’s degrees in computer science. Students develop analytical and problem-solving skills as applied to technical systems and gain experience in computer programming and the development of data structures and algorithms. Graduates who complete the bachelor’s degree will be prepared for careers in computer science/computer engineering in government, business and industry or for advanced study. This may include emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, and graphics & gaming, as well as computer systems, networks, databases and financial & scientific applications.  Students are advised to consult an advisor regarding their transfer plans during their first semester at CSM. Those students intending to transfer to St. Mary’s College of Maryland are encouraged to apply for dual admission to that institution.

The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 46.
