This coursework will prepare students for employment as entry-level drafting technicians in positions requiring preparation of detailed technical drawings made with drawing instruments or by application of computer techniques.
The two required courses, DFT 1200 and DFT 1320 , include the preparation of drawings using the techniques and principles of geometric projection, views, sections, and the use of the computer for mechanical design and drafting of two dimensional drawings.
The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 6.
