Students enter the fitness and recreation fields by preparing to become a certified pool operator. In addition to gaining the knowledge and skills necessary for employment, they also develop awareness of basic legal and risk management issues and an awareness of the industry. After completing the letter of recognition students may choose to progress to related certificates or the sport management degree in order to advance in the field.
The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer from other institutions to this program is 3.
