MUS-1201 - Classical and Romantic Music* (A) (3)

Prerequisite: MUS-1501 ; or permission of the program coordinator
Students study the composers and styles that dominated the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries from the later Baroque period to the dawn of the Twentieth Century. Important political, historic, religious, social, and philosophical influences are highlighted as well as the development of symphony, concerto, and opera. This course satisfies the General Education Arts requirement.
