ART-1220 - Basic Drawing I (3) From life setups, students analyze modeling, anatomy, and perspective using various graphic media. Weekly readings, critiques, a working sketchbook, and a final portfolio review are required.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Effectively use the elements and principles of design to create quality drawings.
CO2 - Arrange value scales in high, medium and low contrasts in executing tonal drawings.
CO3 - Execute contour drawings of volumetric form and use value as a means to create the illusion of volumetric form.
CO4 - Employ the principles of one and two point perspective.
CO5 - Execute gesture and sustained figure drawings that demonstrate the concept of anatomy, scaling, and foreshortening.
