ART-2020 - Integration of the Arts* (3) Prerequisite: Permission of the chair This course introduces students to the areas of the visual arts, dance, music, and theater through an exploration of representative works. This experience will enhance self-expression and a better understanding of the human experience. This course meets the integrated arts requirement of the Maryland state approved Associate of Arts in Teaching degree.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Distinguish similarities and differences between visual arts, music, theater, and dance.
CO2 - Identify indirect benefits of students’ interaction with visual arts, music, theater, and dance.
CO3 - Identify methods of integrating visual arts, music, theater, and dance into non-art topics.
CO4 - Develop and demonstrate presentations of theatrical and dance concepts, active listening, and a visual medium/technique.
CO5 - Support literacy through visual arts, music, theater, and dance integration.
