BAD-1335 - Applied Business Communications* (3) Prerequisite: MTH-0910 or MTH-0992 and College-level reading and writing placement or complete one of the following: IRW-0900A or IRW-0900B
Students review, create, and evaluate business communications including memorandums, e-mails, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations. Students learn to differentiate between data and information, format researched data appropriately, apply logic and decision-making methods and effectively communicate information to make business decisions. Students also solve business problems individually and in teams and recognize ethical implications for business managers when communicating information. Independent study using computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office software is required weekly.
