BIO-1040L - Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology Lab* (S) (1)


Co-requisite: BIO-1040  

Students study the basic anatomy and functioning of human systems including musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, nervous, and urogenital.  This course satisfies the General Education Biological Science requirement.

List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections)
CO1 - Identify the structure and function of the components for the 12 human body systems.

CO2 - Experiment with membrane transport to understand the passive transport mechanisms of osmosis and diffusion.

CO3 - Compare various human blood types and antigen-antibody reactions of incompatible blood.

CO4 - Construct a valid hypothesis and critique the degree of scientific validity of other hypotheses.

CO5 - Compare how the gross anatomy of an organ relates to the histology of the organ.

CO6 - Assess how individual bones can be utilized to determine overall body height of the human.
