BIO-1200 - Introduction to Oceanography* (S) (3) Prerequisite: College-level reading placement or complete one of the following: IRW-0900A or IRW-0900B Students examine the origin and history of the ocean basins and physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of the ocean from the intertidal zone to the abyss, and from the tropics to the poles. Marine life, resources, and pollution are studied. This course satisfies the General Education Biological Science requirement.

CO2 - Identify the marine environmental problems that are associated with petroleum pollution.
