DFT-1200 - Engineering Graphics (3) This course gives students a basic understanding of how to create and read engineering drawings. Students are introduced to topics in engineering graphics including: orthographic projection, auxiliary views, sections, conventions, dimensions, tolerances, pictorial drawings, threads, and fasteners. Students will be introduced to basic computer-aided drafting techniques.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Select digital and mechanical drafting tools, procedures, and forms of graphical representation appropriate to specific needs and industry standards.
CO2 - Demonstrate basic drafting skills including neatness, accuracy, composition and line weight/type.
CO3 - Communicate basic engineering ideas using both physical and digital drawing skills.
CO4 - Interpret basic engineering drawings.
