DMP-1010 - Video Field Production* (3) Prerequisite: College-level reading and writing placement or complete one of the following: IRW-0900A or IRW-0900B This course is designed to introduce students to the world of Single Camera Video Field Production. The knowledge and skills developed in this class will begin to prepare students for a career in television production, whether that career involves working at a commercial television station, a public television station, a cable television local origination/public access center, a corporate video center, a school system, hospital, a top-quality production house, or as an independent free-lancer. Students will learn how to operate high definition field cameras, field lights, microphones, field mixers, and nonlinear video editing software. Students will learn by doing, producing a variety of projects during the semester, all designed to increase your skill.
