ELT-2030 - Communication Circuits* (4) Co-requisite: ELT-2017
Students learn basic radio communication systems from lectures and observation of laboratory experiments that involve the theory and construction of various oscillators, modulators, transmitters, and receivers for (AM)-amplitude modulation, (SB)-side band modulation, and optics and microwave theory are included.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Use the concepts and terms of modulators and demodulators in the classroom and laboratory.
CO2 - Identify and construct communications circuits such as the AM modulator, FM modulator, demodulators, oscillators, and phase locked loop.
CO3 - Recognize and solve problems relating to communication circuits and communications circuits applications.
CO4- Discuss terms of communications electronics such as mixing, heterodyning, multiplexing, modulation and frequency synthesis.
CO5 - Utilize transmitter and receiver circuits, and apply different forms of digital communication formats with multiplexers, demultiplexers, and LANs.
Course Fee: $60
