ENG-2950 - Creative Writing: Fiction, Memoir, and Creative Non-Fiction* (3) Prerequisite: ENG-1010 or ENG-1010T Students study selected works of several authors, discuss writing techniques and styles, and create their own works of short fiction, creative non-fiction, or memoir, which are workshopped by their fellow students and by the instructor. In addition, effective ways of submitting work for publication are discussed.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Apply terms and concepts relevant to planning, modeling, critiquing, and revising of creative writing.
CO2 - Collaborate in the ongoing discourse of the workshop in order to carry creative work forward with greater critical awareness.
CO3 - Produce a new set of creative drafts
CO4 - Critically analyze original prose using creative writing workshop and portfolio methods
