GRY-1060 - United States Geography* (3) Co-requisite: College-level reading placement or complete one of the following: IRW-0900A or IRW-0900B
Students examine the physical and cultural geography of North America emphasizing spatial patterns and processes associated with climate, landscapes, culture, politics, economy and social difference at national, regional and urban scales.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Identify state capitals and other significant cities, the location of the 50 United States and its territories in proximity to one another, special sites, and places of interest.
CO2 - Distinguish between regions, both culturally and physically.
CO3 - Explain how the movement of people and migration as influenced the environment, e.g., economically, agriculturally, politically of the United States and its territories.
