HMS-1100 - Case-Load Management (3) Students are introduced to the professional practices of the human services system for caseload management in the counseling field. Students will learn the core functions for counselors: screening, intake, orientation, assessment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referral, record keeping, and consultation. In addition, students will be exposed to topics concerning ethics, confidentiality, time management, and stress management.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Apply the basic skills of managing a caseload of a client from the twelve core functions of a counselor.
CO2 - Describe the screening process, assessment, treatment planning, aftercare planning for the client.
CO3 - Analyze topics concerning ethics, confidentiality, time management, and stress management.
