HMS-2910 - Cooperative Education - Human Services* (3) Prerequisite: Permission of the chair
Cooperative Education - Human Services allows students to combine academic study with on-the-job experience by working on paid training assignments coordinated by departmental faculty. The major objective of Cooperative Education is the application of classroom theory to a work environment. This course is intended for students who are pursuing a degree in Human Services.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Apply theory that gives greater meaning and understanding to college coursework in a human service agency.
CO2 - Create awareness of self and capabilities, while developing maturity and encouraging self-reliance.
CO3 - Combine valuable experience in human services field by securing 240 hours by working in a business/industrial environment to reduce the burden of college expenses.
