HPM-2310 - Management Information Systems for the Hospitality Industry* (3) Prerequisite: MTH-0910 or MTH 0992 or higher The focus of this course is on managing information systems and the use of computerized information technology to manage information, support decision-making and analysis, improve processes, increase productivity, and enhance customer service in the hospitality industry.

CO2 - Describe the various ways in which hospitality businesses use technology to gain and process reservations.
CO3 - Explain the function of common PMS interfaces, which include point-of-sale systems, call accounting systems, energy management systems, electronic locking systems, and guest-operated devices.
CO4 - Describe common hardware configurations of POS systems used by food service operations.
CO5 - Explain the role of information systems as applied to value-added hospitality business operations.
