HEA-1770 - Advanced Drug Calculations For Healthcare Workers* (1) Prerequisite: MTH-0910 or MTH-0992 or higher This course is designed for healthcare workers/nursing students who will be administering critical intravenous medications. Basic math concepts are applied to critical intravenous medication calculations. Emphasis is placed on accurately calculating the following areas: critical intravenous medications to be given over a specific time period, correction of errors when intravenous flow rates are inaccurate, intravenous fluid volumes over specified time periods, intravenous heparin and pediatric critical intravenous medications given over specified time periods and for specific body weight.
