POL-2910 - Cooperative Education: Political Science* (3) Prerequisite: Completion of 30 credits towards associate’s degree; permission of the chair. Cooperative education allows students to combine academic study with on-the-job experience by working on paid training assignments coordinated by departmental faculty. The major objective of cooperative education is the application of classroom theory to a work environment.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Demonstrate application of political science theory to real-world situations through work at an appropriate governmental or non-governmental agency.
CO2 - Complete a research project and paper on a topic relevant to the sponsoring agency’s mission.
CO3 - Receive a satisfactory evaluation from the supervisor at the sponsoring agency.
