TED-2600 - Educational Psychology* (3) Prerequisite: PSY-1010 Students study the basic principles and concepts of learning and their applications to teaching, methodology, behavior control, motivation, and constructing effective learning environments. Basic language skills are presumed, used, and evaluated. PSY-2600 is now TED-2600.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Describe the characteristics of school-age learners in regard to both development and diversity, and explain how these characteristics influence teaching and learning.
CO2 - Compare and contrast characteristics of the major theories of learning as well as their influence on teaching.
CO3 - Identify and explain the elements of productive learning environments, including: motivation, instruction, assessment, classroom management
CO4 - Refect upon and apply course content by analyzing implications of educational psychology relevant to personal experience and future goals.
