MUS-1011 - Concert Band I* (1) Prerequisite: Prior study or performance experience on a band instrument Concert Band offers students and community members an opportunity to play traditional and contemporary concert band and wind ensemble literature. It is open to brass, woodwind, and percussion players. The Concert Band performs a formal concert on campus each semester as well as occasional performances in the community. Members will be expected to provide their own instruments. Off campus rehearsal location.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Perform capstone events (concerts) as part of a wind and percussion ensemble.
CO2 - Apply knowledge of a variety of global styles and genres for a wind and percussion ensemble.
CO3 - Utilize techniques to perform as a collaborative team member in a music ensemble.
CO4 - Apply techniques unique to their instrument to continue improvement of performance practices in an ensemble setting.
