THE-1032 - Acting II* (3) Prerequisite: THE-1030 Students will participate in various talking and listening, objective and obstacle, and personalization exercises, create a personal warm-up, and perform two different scene presentations. In addition, students will explore releasing impulses and will perform advanced solo exercises, intended to further cement the truthful foundation of acting.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Create performances that respond to “the truth of the moment.”
CO2 - Apply techniques derived from a Stanislavsky-based practice toward the analysis and rehearsal of scripted material.
CO3 - Refine a disciplined practice to develop and maintain the voice and body in optimal condition for acting.
CO4 - Expand repertoire of appropriate performance material for technique development and auditioning
CO5 - Evaluate a variety of acting approaches in order to deepen understanding of the craft and add to the actor’s toolbox.
