CDL-1200 - CDL Safe Vehicle Operation* (4)

Prerequisite: CDL-1100 , valid Driver’s License with good driving record, plus DOT physical and drug screen
This course is the second of a five part program designed to give the student the required knowledge to earn a Class A commercial driver’s license. The course introduces the student to basic vehicle skills and operations for handling commercial vehicles as well as shifting procedures, coupling and uncoupling, backing, parking, speed and space management.

CO1 - Demonstrate basic control such as backing and parking skills on a closed range.

CO2 - Demonstrate coupling and uncoupling skills.

CO3 - Develop the understanding of space management and speed control through basic shift procedures.
