MTH-0991 - Pre-Algebra Topics* (0) Prerequisite: Students must take the math placement test to determine eligibility. Students in this course learn pre-algebra skills that, along with MTH 0992, MTH 0993, and MTH 0994, prepare them for college level mathematics required in scientific, business, or teacher educations fields. Topics include exponents and order of operations, integers, fractions and mixed numbers, decimals and percents, ratios and proportions, algebraic expressions, and solving linear equations.
List Course Outcomes (consistent for all sections) CO1 - Add, subtract, multiply and divide integers, fractions, decimals, and mixed numbers.
CO2 - Simplify expressions containing integers, exponents, fractions, and decimal numbers using order of operations.
